Our Story

In 2017 we took a hammer to an old Johnstown favorite to give it new life. We fought back and forth on the center bar that stood for 20 years until we finally won. We gutted the entire space and 8 months later with a new 5,000 lb. concert bar, 100 year old barn wood and Edison style smooth and warm lighting Tap 814 was born. We wanted a hang out for a broader audience. An appreciation for craft cocktails, unique beer, craft food, and a story.

Introducing Supperclub Sleuths — our murder mystery book club with a little more edge and a lot more atmosphere.

Low lighting. A glass of wine in hand.
A table full of people who all think they’ve figured it out first.

Every month, we dive into a new thriller—twists, lies, unreliable narrators and all. You read the book on your own time… then join us to question everything, compare theories, and maybe change your mind halfway through the conversation.

Because the best part of a good mystery?
Arguing about it after.

Sundays bring wine and charcuterie.
Thursdays lean into flatbreads and pours.
Same energy. Different mood.

$20 to join.
Worth it for the conversation alone.
Seats are limited—on purpose.
